Renton Rumblings

DC's Bar and Grill will be opening within the next week on 3rd in downtown Renton, and will be followed shortly thereafter by Stiffy's Bar & Grill in the spot formerly housing Armando's. Around the corner will be Common Ground Coffee and Cupcakes at 3rd and Wells. Mmmm, cupcakes!
Gaby's Que is opening in Skyway in the 12600 block of Renton Avenue.

Tell me how all the new places are. I need new places to eat lunch in Renton. I go to the same 4 spots every time (Cedar River BBQ, Siagon Pho, Armondos and Teriyaki Box)

I'll be checking out the BBQ joint in Skyway this week.
The others aren't yet open, but I'll get there soon.

An Announcement:

In behalf of the family of Aloha BBQ, I would like to express my thanks to all of our customers for continuing to stop to checked-out if the restaurant is open.

We was closed since Nov. 5 (Sunday), due to an emergency in the family. Hopefully, its not going to be long.

I have been meaning for the longest time to express our profound thanks to Freakazoid Freddy and Diane, for the favorable and very positive comments he made on Aloha BBQ. It is our goal to serve tasty, fair-priced but quality food, and we strive to be better everyday while bringing diverse recipes.

Our thanks to you, Ira, and to all of you our dear customenrs for your continued patronage.

To all Aloha BBQ patrons:

Due to a family crises these past couple of weeks, we have been closed for business, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I would personally wish to extend my earnest gratitude to our loyal friends and customers who have left up-building messages of concern and greetings in our time of distress. Your support has been an encouragement to our family.

Hopefully, we will be able to maintain our regular schedule commencing Friday, November 17th and look forward to serving you in a more efficient manner.

I would also like to mention that we will be adding on a new item to our menu: Southern-style bbq pork spareribs and pulled pork (sandwich or dinner) in a southern based tomato-mustard bbq sauce, served with fried corn-on-the-cob or fried okra and corn bread; and if this suits your palate, we may add this on as a regular. We will also start serving our homemade sweetened iced-tea.

All your comments, ideas, likes and dislikes about our menu items and/or service is greatly appreciated in order for us to serve you better!

Ira, Diane and Debbie, much Aloha & Mahalo for your kind words and thoughts!!!

1. I'm thrilled that Aloha will re-open soon, and I'm a huge fan of Southern BBQ ribs and pulled pork!
Aloha has been a great restaurant, and I've eaten much larger quantities of food there than any human being ought to, because the food there is so good.
2. I like Naan n' Curry a lot, it has been reviewed here, maybe in July or August.
3. I've tried Fin and Bone a couple of times. Didn't thrill me. I'm sure I'll give it another shot, but at this point the Melrose does it for me more that Fin N' Bone.

DC's bar and grill is finally open and worth checking out for lunch. GREAT burgers, soups, and salads. I have been there a few times and each meal has exceeded my expectations. (Especially for bar food.) Good portions and a fair price, not to mention plenty of good beers on tap.

DC's is the place to be for game day! Good food and great owners!

Stiffy's is now open and good food too! Love the cabbage!

Two more great places for good times in downtown Renton!
