Where is Renton's Best Pizza?

The Rock Wood Fired Pizza and Spirits has opened in The Landing, and among many other things has a lunch buffet featuring a variety of pizza, pasta, soup, and salad. Not a bad deal for 8.49, including soft drink, but how's the pizza?
The place is a fun, rock n'roll themed restaurant. The music's great. The servers were attentive and welcoming. One of the soups, a creamy chicken with wild rice, was outstanding.
The pizza? It's good. Almost all wood fired pizza is going to have a good crust, and crust is so underrated in general.
I've had better wood fired crust before, but just the fact that this is a wood fired crust is a big plus. Toppings were pleasant and there was a good variety of them. Sauce was a little too thin.
Is this Renton's best pizza? No. Renton is blessed with a few really good pizza places including Angelo's, Armando's, Vince's, and Amante.
But the Rock is pretty good, and some people really like odd themed places. I'll go back.

Give a try to Pizza Man - they've been in Renton for at least five years:

We've always had them deliver when we just don't have the energy to cook.

As mentioned, Angelos is very good. Farther down 4th (actually 164th at that point), is Flying Pie Pizza. When I was in my early 20's the Spot Tavern had excellent pizza, although haven't been there in many years.

I was there (The Rock) on opening day for their lunch buffet... I was very very impressed with the value you get! The crust was amazing, and the variety was a very nice surprise (mozzarella and brown sugar pizza! just try it)...

Having said that, I'm glad to have seen this post.. if anything, I now have a few more places to try, and if they're better than the rock, the they should be awesome...

Also, I'm gonna second Rentonben on the Pizza man.. I've been there often.. they people are friendly, and you can see the care they put in their pizza.. it's thin, it's good... if only it was wood-fired.

I'll have to check out Pizza Man.
Flying Pie I've been to and I like a lot, but for money at this point nothing beats Angelo's.

Question for you, have you experienced Flying Pie Pizzeria on 4th in East Renton Highlands? (By Doofer's and Castle Ice). Delicious, and they'll make your pizza exactly how you order it. The rotating taps are a plus, too!

Romeo's is pretty good

Just going to put another vote in for Pizza Man. If you haven't tried their Greek and Diovolo pizza's you have not lived.

Angelo's is also very good, and the owner is a very nice guy.
